I picked up "Smile" from a bargain bin at some record shop, without giving it much thought, as it's quite an old CD (2001), but was very pleasantly surprised once I listened to it. Perhaps not as "complex" as Wet Wet Wet records, but in a ballad-style it rules OK. My favourite tracks are Close To You, Did You Ever Wake Up, All I Ever Wanted, I've Been Around The World, The Missing Sound. Listen to it first, before you buy it.

Great voice burt wrong music.......2004-01-15

I adore Marti Pellow. When I saw him last in London, he was performing a concert and I felt like stealing all his posters back to Brazil with me.

I bought this CD 2 weeks ago but stop listening to it 13 days ago. His voice is always impressive but his music is so irritating now. It's not a good idea for him to write all the songs because some of them are really out of tune and some are so boring and crude!

I prefer the music of him with Wet Wet Wet. Can't he bring that magic back? Hope he could do better in the next album because I'm quite disappointed with this one(so pity it's his first one).

If you were sad when Wet Wet Wet broke up, put a smile back on your face because Marti is back. This album just gets better every time I play it. He has still got music in his voice. I can only hope that this will not be his only solo album and I don't have to wait too long before we get another album. He can adapt his voice to all types of music and that is the sheer brilliance of Mr Pellow's talent. Do yourself a favour and buy this album NOW!

If you were sad when Wet Wet Wet broke up, cheer up because Marti's back and he's still got the music in his voice! Can't stop playing this album, it just gets better every time I listen to it. I can only hope that this is not his only solo outing and it won't be too long before we get another album from the wonderful Mr Pellow. His voice can adapt to any style of music which is why he is so brilliant. Thanks for the pleasure of listening to your voice!

It topped my favorite list the moment I heard this cd!.......2001-10-14

Every song is wonderful on this cd. We knew the voice would be excellent. But who knew the lyrics and melodies would be right there with Marti's fabulous vocals.

I love this cd. I have listened to it now about 10 times. I reach for something else but then pick up "Smile" again and again...
