Customer Reviews:
The ultimate collection.......2005-04-13
After 2-3 months or so of waiting, I finally received my copy of this three disc set. You need a computer to watch the dvd since that is the only way to get around the region restriction embedded on the dvd. Worth every penny though. Not only do you get all the music videos they released, you get a live show AND an interview with the band from around 2003. It's something that can not be fully appreciated in a sober state of mind. Everyone's gained weight and looks 10 years older. Other than that, it is funny to hear Clint Boon talk, as on the albums he has such a clear, good singing voice, but speaking he has a thick accent. Why buy it? Not just for the videos, but for the extras. Take a listen to the song "Iron" that was previously unreleased. Or, tick off your heavy metal loving friends with their hip hop remix of Ozzy's "Paranoid" featuring a duo of rappers with thick British accents. On the song "Paper Moon" they give you a hint as to the actual pronunciation of "Inspiral." But buy it for their last single, "Come Back Tomorrow" with one of the most creative and bizarre music videos ever to be seen. If you've ever liked IC, even for 5 minutes back in 1992, you have to get this.
BUYER BEWARE BONUS DVD MIGHT NOT PLAY.......2004-03-15
AWESOME PACKAGE HEAVY PAPER SLIP CASE WITH 3 CD JEWEL CASE THAT OPENS LIKE A BOOK 2 CD'S AND A DVD! CD1:COOL AS* IS A GREATEST HITS CD ALL THEIR BEST SONGS. CD2:RARE AS* IS A RARITIES CD WITH TWO GREAT COVERS TAINTED LOVE BY SOFT CELL AND 96 TEARS BY QUESTION MARK AND THE MYSTERIONS. NOW FOR THE DVD WHICH IS WHY I REALLY BOUGHT THIS SET. AFTER LISTENING TO THE 2 CD'S I POPPED THE DVD INTO MY SONY HOME SYSTEM DVD PLAYER AND A MESSAGE "CAN NOT PLAY" CAME UP! BEING IN EUROPEAN PAL/RC-0 FORMAT MAKES THE DVD UNPLAYABLE IN U.S.A. PLAYERS BIG BUMMER! THE TWO CD'S ARE WORTH THE PRICE ALONE BUT THE UNPLAYABLE DVD WAS A DISAPPOINTMENT.
