Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars GOOD-TIME BLUES.......2006-02-19

Man,what a record! If this doesn't get your foot to stompin'your either dead or you just don't like Johnny Winter.Hard-driven blues covers (and a few of his own)JW tears it up on his 1st album. If you like Johnny you'll love this one! Overlooked by many, this is a must have.

5 out of 5 stars A+++ Best Guitar Rocking Blues Album Ever.......2005-04-08

I don't know why I waited over 30 years to buy and listen to this album. It is simply awesome. I'm now going to check out Winter's entire catalogue. This is the best blues rock album I ever heard. Buy it!

5 out of 5 stars When ths first came out..........2005-02-16

....or when my friends and I found it, around when Winters first Columbia release came out...WE COULD NOT BELIEVE IT... Such manic energy, but still with a real blues flavor...'Mean Town Blues', the tune that -did it- for Johnny in the Woodstock movie, is still one of best examples of how an artist can be original and play older style blues at the same time.
