Customer Reviews:
great rap metal.......2003-06-22
Ah, the Phunk Junkeez at their finest hour! This album contains many underground tunes to bump in your trunk, from songs like "Short Term Memory Loss" "American Pimp" "Innovator" and "Strugglin'". This album also has a special appearance by Sen Dog of Cypress Hill, and that track is mad phat. This CD will leave rap metal/bubble gum icons like Fred Durst and Kid Rock crying back home!
Junkeez rock.......2001-10-03
I have been a Junkeez fan for quite some time. This band never ceases to amaze me. Each cd that comes out gets better and better. I can't get enough of Sex Drugs and Rap 'N Roll. This CD is great for road trips. It is one of those that you don't have to skip songs on. Keep in mind that it is not for the faint at heart. If you are in to the rap and roll thing, this cd is for you. The Junkeez have been doing it for awhile and they just keep getting better and better.
LIMP BIZKIT WISH THEY WERE THE PHUNK JUNKEEZ.......2001-07-30
So you like Limp F'n Bizkit? Why dont you stop letting your mommy dress you and listen to some real Trip Hop. Let me tell you this, if Fred Worst is the spokesman for our generation, then we are all totally f!?ked. Thank God for the Phunk Junkeez. As a fan since 95, I can say only Faith No More can even hold a candle to the PJ. These guys have been doing what all the "rap rock" bands ahve been trying to do since the late 80's. And Sex, Drugs, Rap and Roll once again proves that they are one of the few who can do it. Limp Bizkit be damned. Soulman could take Fred Worst to shool on sundays. The music these gus shell out doesn't ever get old. Then throw the smooth lyrics by Soulman and you have what becomes a trip hop masterpiece. These guys are the one of the last non-conformist bands around besides deftones, (hed)pe, tool and a select few others. And while PJ may not have much musicly in common with those bands, they, like the others, will never lay down for a quick buck. Buy this album. Buy this and Phunk Junkeez (self-titled debut), Injected and Fear of a Whack Planet. Buy them all, and then bask in the glory of a band who makes the music that all the main stream "rap rock" bands wish they could. Like Soulman says, "Even when I'm sleepin, I'm keepin it real..."
