Kendall Jane Meade has put out two efforts before this: the ep Electric Poems and one full length, "Follow The Sound". Each of these recordings displayed the songwriting prowess that has grown into what has resulted in "Dreamer's Book", an album that towers above any other released in 2004. From the opening track, the gorgeous "Bluebirds In Heaven", to the mid-tempo rock song "Turn Off/Turn On", Meade creates each song like it's a page in a book that you simply can't put down. Perhaps the album's title is apt. You won't find anything finer than this album this year.
