Amazing EP of cover-songs!!!.......2002-04-24
I must admit that at first I was skeptical of Jon Auer doing all covers because he and Ken Stringfellow wrote such great songs together with the Posies, but this EP really delivers! The songs that he has chosen fit him well which means that this album is not a very big diversion from the type of material that your used to him doing anyway. He takes all of these songs and works them into his modern sort of Beatles-like pop style.
I really can't pick a stand out track because all of them stand out to me. I even like the instrumental; and I normally don't like instrumentals.
This is a very good album that anyone, but especially fans of the Posies, should check out. There are a lot of top notch songs and performances here!
