Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars this doesn't belong in the 'music' section.......2006-11-15

i could have made a better album by recording myself playing harmonica while farting. if you want to listen to good music that has some humour/a unique sound go get a some zappa albums or maybe some primus, if you want to be a faux 'hippy' then stick to phish and their mindless work with artists like "dude of life." this album really has nothing positive to offer, i've tried so hard to like this album for almost 2 years now and couldn't bring myself to take a liking to even one song. it's hard to believe that a band that's recorded such landmark albums as junta could disgrace themselves by recording this cd. a definite DO NOT BUY.

4 out of 5 stars This is not a Phish album...........2005-05-21

I repeat, this is not a Phish album. So for all of you puppets that were looking to buy a Phish album but bought this instead, guess what, I don't feel sorry for you. You probably only wanted to buy a Phish album so you could put Heavy Things on repeat in your $9.99 cd player that you bought from Wal-Mart anyway, so quit complaining. Seriously, if you don't know enough about the band to know what albums the band has put out or that this wasn't one of those albums, you should probably drop the hippie phase you're in and get back to listening to the Backstreet Boys or whatever other boy band I'm sure lost a sale when you spent mommy and daddy's money on Crimes of the Mind. I thought the lyrics on this album were fabulous. A lot of double meanings and very original thoughts with some very strong musical backing. Ordinary Day is the best song in my mind, with the strongest lyrics and the most thought provoking ideas. I wish that the wireless phone companies would get it together and make the ringtone for "Bitchin Again" so that I can program it to ring when my wife calls. This is a good album by a very creative person. NOT PHISH, but if you aren't a moron then you already know that.

4 out of 5 stars We have confirmed the fact that this is not Phish!.......2004-07-07

Ok, all you phrantic phish phans, we all know this is NOT a Phish album. So, all that aside, let's start actually reviewing the album instead of giving it 1 star simply because it's not a Phish album. Imagine, if you will, if Wesley Willis had ever made a more serious/thoughtful album, yet maintained his goofiness. Eh? Sounds kinda dumb. But this is not. This is a good album, and the music IS made by Phish, so techincally the music is pretty dern solid. I like it.

1 out of 5 stars just for clarification..........2003-04-01

Jim Pollock is the artist who has drawn many Phish-related posters.

He is not the singer of this album. The singer's name is Steve Pollak.

I felt this needed to be clarified; it's an honest mix-up, but it happens all too often and is clearly very wrong.
