Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars get it.......2006-05-07

No, this album doesn't sound like Pearl Jam, who cares? Carrie Akre has her own following anyway. Her voice is amazing on this album. The Rockfords are great to see live as well.

2 out of 5 stars Not Exactly what I was told it what be........2005-09-15

I Bought this CD having being told by someone whom had it that
it was basically a Female lead singer lead version of Pearl Jam,
of course the main driving reason for that[if it had been true]
would have been that the Great Mike McCready[the last true
guitar hero] from Pearl Jam is in the band of course, but they
are Not anything like Pearl Jam at all. The Rockfords have more
of a Punk-ish/pop sound to them with a little bit of a hard
rock flare At times, but it's not much. I like a few songs on
this CD though. If your thinking because McCready is in it that
their will be his usual great Guitar work of "Screaming" Fender
Stratocaster guitars and "Wailing" Les Pauls[like on PJ's song
"Dissident"] then that's incorrect, this CD is more both like
regular punk rock and even most regular "mainstream" rock today
almost No guitar solos whatsoever, which is crazy thinking that
McCready is so gifted a picker. The lead singer,She has a very
good voice though. The CD is Not BAD, just not what I had been
told it was and probably would not appeal to those whom like
Pearl Jam, especially those whom like it for the Hard Rock type
guitar stylings of Mike McCready and Stone Gossard.

4 out of 5 stars Great Record.......2003-05-16

This is a solid, rocking, fun album that any fan of rock music can enjoy. I bought it because of Mike McCready and was not disappointed. I read a review that begs us all not to call McCready a guitar great. I ask, why not? He's freakin' awesome. Great solos on this record and we see more of his creative side that doesn't come through as often on Pearl Jam albums. This album is much more than just McCready though. Great songs throughout, this band rocks. Buy it!

5 out of 5 stars AHHHHHHH!.......2000-08-05

Well, I haven't listened to the album, but with Mike McCready it must be good. But could everyone PLEASE not call him a guitar great? He's awesome, but he's not Jimi Hendrix, SRV, Mato Nanji, or even Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Of course, he makes up for it by playing grunge instead of blues...
