Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars After 15 Years, this is what they come up with?.......2006-06-23

I know that we all have our differing opinions and after reading the reviews on this CD I recognize all of these differences in contrast.
I've listened to and loved the Chameleons for many many years now, even followed many of their post break-up incarnations. However, this CD has got to be one of the most dissapointing releases I've ever heard from as talented a band as the Chameleons. After 15 Years of waiting and hoping for a miracle to happen, this is what they come up with? It's a tragedy and a let down. Furthermore, I think that this will seal the coffin on them reuniting for another recording session. The only song that is worthwhile on the album is Miracles and Wonders. The rest is just a bunch mediocre sounds coupled with uninspiring lyrics.
I had the honor not too long ago to meet the singer, Mark Burgess, at one of his solo shows. He was a gracious and friendly guy. But if I had the unabashed opportunity to express my opinion about this CD to him, he'd probably curse me till the day I die. I'm sorry Mark, but you and the guys fell too short on this one. I'll always love you, but I know you could've done much much better.

5 out of 5 stars Don't miss this one!.......2005-05-23

All I can add to the other (positive) reviews is that it is much like the self titled spin off project "The Sun and the Moon" album from 1988. This will be loaded on my iPod quite often.

1 out of 5 stars Don't buy this CD.......2005-04-21

I love the Chameleons and listened to them in college when they first started playing. I had their first three vinyl albums. I bought this album in CD format hoping for one more taste of their excellent sound. This album is very disappointing and as a regular rock album probably rates a C-, but as a Chameleons album, it is an F.

Bottom line, don't waste your money on this CD. Don't even put it in your collection. It is embarrassingly bad and I will never listen to it again. Anybody want a cheap CD?

5 out of 5 stars Fullcrum of Boston.......2002-10-21

This is the long awaited 4th studio CD. I have listened to the Chameleons for over 20 years and when I heard they had a 4th cd I had to get it. I was not disapointed! From start to finish its a great CD. My favorite songs on the CD is Dangerous Land and Shades. I have to confess, I seen the Chameleons live and I must say they are the greatest live band.............bar none. I met them after the show and they are truely genuine and friendly people so in my eyes they can do no wrong. Get this CD and while you're at it get all the Chameleon CDs you can get your hands on. You will have music that will last a life time...............

5 out of 5 stars Relevant, more than ever!.......2002-10-01

This new album proves the how talented Mark Burgess & co. always were. It is not a rehash of old ideas, nor is it the product of musicians treading water. It isn't an exercise in nostalgia (pun intended). It is a very good collection of new songs by one of the most under-appreciated English bands of all time. One reviewer called the music a cross between Joy Division and very early U2, but this comparison is barely in the ball park.
