Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Ah, memories.......2006-07-10

Baboon was one of the bands that schooled me on what good rock n' roll was. This one came out right as I graduated High School, but I'd seen them countless times opening up for other acts at all-ages shows.

I just dusted it off and am listening as I type. It's literally been in a box for years, but that's my mistake. It's really held up well through the years. My favorite track is "Bright Lights" but there are a number of good listeners on there. Go ahead and pick up one of the used copies on here.

5 out of 5 stars a classic album.......2000-05-30

from start to finish one of the best albums i've ever heard. a very versitile band which i consider to be the best band in the last ten years. baboon is also a very popular band in my elitist group of friends. this album along with the numb e.p.and the face down in turpentine album is a must have if you like your music hard, soft, or just plain great. you gotta buy this album.

5 out of 5 stars THIS COULD BE WHAT YOU NEED.......1999-03-26

If are disgusted with where rock music has gone, or find yourself in seach of a trash can every time you turn on the radio because you want to vomit, then this is for you. This, Baboon's first record, is one big insane conglomeration of anger, silliness, and even tenderness. Listening to Baboon is like laughing at a big traffic accident even though it makes you sad. "Face Down In Turpentine" is just good wholesome rock and roll. The joy it brings to some is indescribable. The fans call it "feel-good music for people who shouldn't be allowed to walk the streets".
