Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars You Will Love This Album, I Promise.......2004-02-11

If you like Coldplay you will love this. It is a hint of pop with great lyrics and music. This album should be considered among the greats. It is one a very few albums you can listen to not only front to back but also over and over again without being tired of it. If you enjoy this album I STRONGLY urge you to purchase the follow up Via Satellite, as well as Braden Blake's solo album A Year In Pajamas. Listen closely and enjoy!

2 out of 5 stars Some good, some bad, too much Gin Blossoms.......2003-07-16

Songs like "Suitcase," "Lizardrin," and "She Came On" are shiny power pop nuggets. Most of the tracks here drag, though, and some of the better ones have a slick sheen that is far to reminiscent of the Gin Blossoms for my tastes.

Super Deluxe's Via Satellite album is a little bit better than this one. Both albums can probably be found in a cut-out bin near you.

3 out of 5 stars Fans of power pop should investigate..........2001-03-23

Super Deluxe didn't record a lot of albums but their first was loaded with so many mellow guitar pop gems that one would have been enough. I don't know about their second (and last) album Via Satellite, but 'Famous' is so catchy that I imagine it would have been close to impossible to top. Super Deluxe aren't providing a revelatory sound; they just know what they're good at and they stick to it. Fans of Fountains of Wayne and Teenage Fanclub should look into this, but for anyone else, it's still a very enjoyable listen.

5 out of 5 stars Super Deluxe Rocks.......2000-08-09

This is one of the finest albums Seattle has to offer. Super Deluxe graces this rock scene with a fine accomplishment, combining longing love songs with an impressive pop sounding music. They have the ability to sounds sad on one track, and upbeat by the next. There is something for everybody on Famous. This CD is packed with pop goodies, and a great buy. It'll stay in your CD player for quite a long time.

5 out of 5 stars This is an amazing album!.......2000-06-05

I really wish that more people have had the honor of experiencing Super Deluxe. I've been a fan for many many years, almost as long as they've come out. (Just for a personal note, I have no relation to the lead singer of Super Deluxe). Anyway, this album is one of the best pop albums, or albums of all time. I really enjoy every song on it. I think that I slightly prefer it to Via Satillite, it is amazing.

Some of my favorite tracks are #2 (Famous), #3 (She Came on), #4 (Love Her Madly), #5 (Flustered), #6 (Disappearing), #8, 9, 10, and 11, (Holly's Dream Vacation), (Smile), (Suitcases) and (Sunshine for now)
