Album Description

This Brooklyn (by way of Texas) trio encompasses the best of Spaceman 3's dopey, drugged-out psychedelia, Lou Reed's dark side narratives, and Dylan's everyman story telling. VietNam is the soundtrack for people struggling to get by in a place where dreams don't always come true. "'The Concrete' is stripped-to-the-bone bluesy hippy rock with a 'fuck you' and 'follow your dreams' attitude"--Black Book.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars heroin music done right.......2005-01-18

If you are a fan of Lou Reed in a cloud you should check out this album. Very minimalistic and loud and enjoyable to the point that you say to yourself, "wow, these guys are so good at being bad that they are good." First heard the song "lullaby" driving through the downtown of the south, eight lanes, loud and it was something that made me write it down on a pack of matches. Not to rip from the guy on the cover but the album on a whole is sort of a big middle finger/drunk and not caring who is listening kind of vibe and I think rock n' roll has needed something like this for a while. New York City late at night lyrics. Very interesting.
