Album Description

The follow-up to the much-heralded 'Lemon Fresh', Starbelly's sophomore album is aided by the production of Andy Bopp (Myracle Brah), Starbelly will charm the socks off pop fans with their literate approximations of tightly crafted pop songs influenced by The Beatles ('67-70 era), Big Star and Matthew Sweet. Not Lame Recordings 2002.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Power Pop at it's best.......2006-03-16

Starbelly is a little known band from the D.C. area. Their music is reminiscent of so many classic rock bands from various eras and genres. Their sound is "Beatlesque" and their commitment to quality Pop is unmatched by any band today! They aren't too "cute" for rockers and they aren't too "hard" for fans of pop. They have created a niche for themselves that fills a lot of different voids in music today. Take time to listen to this album and I know within a couple of plays you will start to realize this isn't just another pop band. Starbelly deserves more respect than they are currently getting and perhaps one day they'll receive their just due. I am but one fan here in California who stumbled upon them quite by accident. Take a chance here and I think you'll like the accident...

3 out of 5 stars Maybe every other day.......2005-02-15

The first half of this CD is great but the second half is not as good as their previous CD. However "Beauty Mark" alone is worth getting the CD for. Great song that I listen to, about every other...
