Australia's best pub rock bands of all time...........2005-07-20

A good family friend lent me this CD of 'Noiseworks' and told me if I liked Midnight Oil, I would like this band. This is the Greatest Hits compilation album brought together by the band's producers sometime after the group disbanded and went their own ways, some retired and others like the lead singer started solo careers that just didn't go well. From the very first time I listened to this album I was hooked. I went ahead and purchased my own copy of this terrific album. Around March 2005 I had an opportunity to listen to this band (reform one time only for a good cause) over a live TV concert cast in Sydney and the song 'Touch' is one of the better songs I have listened to and this song became one of my all time favourites. This was sung at the 'Australia Unites: Reach Out To Asia' Concert after the dreadful Tsunami disaster.
This is a 15 track CD and there are many great songs on this album that any old or new fan of Noiseworks should enjoy and treasure like 'No Lies', 'Take Me Back' and 'Love Somebody'. The last 3 tracks on this CD (song 13-15) 13 and 14 are remixes of 'RIP', 'Take You Higher' and the last track is the live version of 'Let It Be'.
A superb album for anyone that like Midnight Oil or R.E.M should enjoy this rock band of the 80's.

Mate, you hard rockers will want this one!.......2004-03-18

If your an Aussie like me, you will know who Noiseworks are! and be familliuer with there biggest hits like "hot chillie woman" and "take me back" ect... but if your not, I recomend you give this a go! It is there best of, and it even suprised me beeing a fan how good some of the songs on here i hadnt heard of where!

You hard rockers will love "hot chillie woman" and if your into that INXS kind of sound then a couple of songs will tickle your fancy!

Great Band of the 80s.......1999-10-22

Anyone remember the song "In My Youth" played at the end of an episode of 80s comedy "Parker Lewis Can't Lose? Well, it was by Noiseworks and is to be found on this Greatest Hits album. But then, thats only one reason to buy this album. There are many more! Recommended for those who, like me, love to reminisce to the sounds of 80s Australian rock bands.
