GO BACK TO OBSCURITY PLEASE!!!!!!.......2005-09-18
I must admit on first sordid glance I thought "hey this girl has an attitude I like" but after listening to this album a few times I realised there are 2 songs on here which are just suitable for kareoke and they are not even that good.
I mean ok her dad IS Ozzy osbourne. Well hey MY dad was nearly in the f***ing beatles but lets not compare lives, No I dont have a pinkiller addiction, I am not a rock chick who is soo keeping it real she has pals like Justin timberlake and christina Aguilera. Yes CHRISTINA AGUILERA Dont let that absolute fake bust up at the MTV awards fool you they are really pals Dont belive for a minute that they are not bum chums.
I would have had a lot more respect for her if she had kept the same sound for a least another album but no.
Record company realise 2nd single didnt do so well so lets have a re-imagining and make her chic 80's disco synth siren. NO I dont buy it for a minute.
Now for the truth about this dire album. From the beginning when she wanted to title the album "Buy me", to its original title "shut up" (thats independence for you) to finally it's change of title "Changes" Cashing in on her dad's fame yet again with an Album rereleased with a UK number 1 single which was released spookily around the time her dad nearly died in a quad bike accident. Shuh. So they name her album after Changes and punt another 100,000 copies.
So there it is can you hear the cash registers behind the reception of the osbourne reality show clinking. I can!

to me it looks like music runs in the family a good debute album. i realy like this album, its cool not quite as good as her father and metal God Ozzy osbourne but it good anyway.
Nice debut.......2005-08-18
I've bought this album because I likes the songs "Shut Up" and "Papa Don't Preach". The first I listened to this album I was like "it's not that good". But now when I've listened to it for several times I'm starting to like a lot of these songs. I won't give this album a 5 star review 'cause it doesn't deserves it. But don't get me wrong, it's still 4 stars.
This album contains a lot of great songs but it also has some songs I'm not really into. But they're still good.
This special edition version contains some live songs. And I was suprised by the way she sang live. She really sang great. And this album contains a song with Ozzy Osbourne. Actually I like this song, but this album has better songs than "Changes" with Ozzy.
At first I didn't like rock music a lot, but now that I listened to this album I'm starting to like it. This girl is pretty good, especially for a debut.
I made a poop from which this album emerged.......2005-02-21
This is the debut solo release from Kelly Osbourne, diva extraordinaire, and it hasn't even come close to justifying all the hype that has surrounded its release. The first single "Papa dont preach" drives a tired horn sample into the ground (whatever happened to using live instrumentation?) juxtaposed with an irritating, repetitive chorus that Kelly only talks her way through - OZZY might state that it's "history in the making" but I don't buy it for a second. Then we have "cool head", which has some dopey cringe-inducing lyrics and a shameless cop of Aaron Carters "Crush on You". Then, in the track that follows, "Shut Up ", we get more uninspired lyrics - Kelly yearns for the child that she sees in her dreams and thinks about all the time over a lifeless pseudo-sitar hook (popularized by Missy Elliott - does Kelly have any original ideas in her head?).
After this, the album falls into slow jams with comatose arrangements and all the passion and energy of a snail, not to mention overwrought vocals from Kelly (doesn't anyone know the meaning of restraint these days?). Maybe I was expecting too much, but all the publicity that this album received set me up for something greater than what I heard. This is not music. Yes, Kelly has a voice of a monkey but somewhat compensates with her broad range but this CD is nothing more than recycled R&B music that other people have already done, perhaps because at least half the songs are sampled. The lyrics are very basic and childish, and it is overproduced with the same beats as every other song out there.
Kelly es una persona muy interesada, la verdad a ella solo le interesa ganar premios, pero no es nadie :( lastima
she has spent so much time developing a sleazeball image. For one, if she wants to attract a more "adult" fanbase, she might try actually writing some lyrics and keeping her clothes on because her so-called "grown-up" act leaves much to be desired. .
Secondly, she needs to take some voice lessons. I say this because as a music journalism major and as one of the greatest music scholars still living, I notice some major flaws in her voice, such as inability to hit high notes decently, bad vocal technique, and her constanr need to use a whispery "baby" voice. And anyone who says otherwise is either extremely deluded or has no concept of a true rock/pop vocalist because Miss Osbourne is not one of them. Just another conceited airhead with no intelligence and looks that blind people into thinking that she's the biggest thing to happen to music spewing out the same old crap, just oversinging her words and saying nothing. Most of this album has everyone and their grandma guesting on it. If she truly is what she and everyone else says she is, can't she do ANYthing by herself???
In a nice, compact package, the most vile aspects of humanity have been assembled in Kelly Osbourne's album "changes." In shocking fashion, pure, unadultered sensualism remains the albums core. The album's forthcoming success represents the irrationality of humankind; my grounds for this statement is, although music is subjective to taste, the songs played here are neither witty lyrically, and their over-produced musical background only delves into the cliches of big-studio production. Unfortunatly this album will lead to large sales, and sadly, more insecurity in all of womankind. she just went way over the top bawling out her lungs. this album was so bad that I threw it at my mother, striking her in the head. I felt bad about that afterwards. I think I'm getting a divorce now. Don't buy this album as it only promotes violence.
