5 out of 5 stars Great Show.......2005-07-29

This is my second OTR album and this is my favorite so far. I also own the July 5, 2002 album out of Morrison Co. I like the Darien, NY album better for many reasons. The first set really flows from one song to the next with a solid set list with a good version of "I Know You Rider" and a very fun song "Water" (not often played in their live scene). "Rivertrance" is the best part of the album, and second part following galactic is played ridiculously fast and will put a smile on your face as soon as you hear the fiddle fire up. Another high point is a great cover of "Joker" and two extended versions of "It Is What It Is" and "Texas". This album has alot more of a bluegrass feel to it and most of the material seems more down to earth rather than spacy and out there. I love this album and would strongly suggest adding it to your collection.

5 out of 5 stars what a great find!!!.......2003-05-28

I own seven of the "on the road series" and this one is my favorite. The first set alone is the ride. What I look for is a certain level of energy from a band (songs on full burner) This show, disc #1 has it. from the firts note of the first song to the last, which is a great cover of Creams cross town traffic.
The band starts warming it's engines with a great inside outside. The pull on the jam in the middle lets you know your in for some fun. It leads into "I know you rider" you can hear the crowd as more people jump on board. You can feel the power of the music as it starts to warm you up and leads you to that eventual nod and smile. Next, Got what he wanted which has become a favorite of mine leads into a great version of water. CD#2 and CD#3 are very solid. but disc one is the killer"
