Album Description

The soundtrack to an award winning independent film, Burnzy's Last Call, features well known artists (David Johansen, Deborah Harry, Graham Parker, Lou Christie, The Smithereens, Evan Dando, The Uptown Horns) evoking the sounds of the 60's & 70's. In fact, the musicians were so into the project that they created fictitious identies for themselves (ie Graham Parker becomes the leader of "Wally and the Wankers, from Kimber in the North of England..." The CD was originally released in 1999 and was out of print for most of 2000. Now re-released at a lower price!

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Very cool concept.......1999-10-20

It is like there is this album with the greatest hits from the fifties and sixties that you've never heard before. Johansen is amazing in the Bowie-esque "Space Monkey", but my favorite tune is Lou Christie's "I Can't Stop the Rain". Sounds like the music on the jukebox of one of my favorite Manhattan dive bars - Milanos on Houston St. A very cool and classic album. I can't wait to check out the movie.
