This is really cool!.......2000-06-10
We are very lucky that The Ventures have been given pretty fair treatment in how their music was released on CD. You get get the bulk of their 60s albums (which is my favorite Ventures era) on these great quality 2-for-1 packages. And then there's an awesome rarities collection like this! This is a good chance to get those flip-sides that were left off the albums, those odd but amazing unreleased tracks, etc. Don't miss it if you're a Ventures fan.
The Ventures played it all - on this CD, there is 60s pop, surf, rock, and even some odd stuff like a Frank Sinatra song! And they do justice to it all - they just know how to make it sound great. Play this or any other Ventures CD at a party. People will like it.
One more thing, this CD is probably for the big Ventures fans. Don't get me wrong, there is a lot of great stuff that most people would enjoy here, but first, pick up a greatest hits collection to get your feet wet.
