EXCELLENT UK82 HARDCORE PUNK !!!!.......2006-07-18

Of a somewhat generic but energetic kind, this band is said to sound like Vice Squad. That maybe true in the case of the very first tracks of this collection, especially those on which vocalist Jo graces us with his higher-than-Beki-Bondage register (and more aggro). But The Expelled are tighter, heavier, and more focused than VS and the songs are way better produced, making for a more pleasant listen.Half of the songs are sung by a very good male vocalist and some songs are amazing and rawer demo versions of some of the same songs in the cd. If you like the UK82 sound you'll love this collection. 41 'of worthy punk rock.

I'm glad to see two more Expelled fans, I am the only punk around here in my town and the towns next to me that like The Expelled. Well this is a really good cd, The best songs are by Jo there female lead singer. Too bad this band broke up really quick and left no history about them. I have there logo written in red on the back of my leather jacket and sometimes I wonder what all four band members are doing now? and if Jo is happy out there with her husband seeing as how she left the band for him? Well this band was better then Vice Squad and I hope if there out there reading this they decide to leave a little info somewhere online on how there lives are right now.

The Expelled- UK '82 at it's Best.......2002-05-22

The Expelled have to be one of the best, yet least known bands from the infamous second wave of UK punk rock in the early 1980's. It's a damn shame too, because these are songs that give Vice Squad a run for their money, a band that they are often compared to. This is a collection of 7" inch singles the band released during their short career, as well as some demo songs that are only released here.Musically, the first eight songs on the disk are the best, featuring their original vocalist Jo. The second half of the disk is good as well, as it features a male vocalist. Overall the collection is excellent, and the song "Government Policy" is worth the price of the disk itself. So if bands like Vice Squad or the Violators are your cup o' tea, then go and get this now!
