5 out of 5 stars Great New Band!!! Southern influenced !.......2003-03-29

I had never heard of Laidlaw, until I saw them on tour with Lynyrd Skynyrd/ZZ Top!Great live show!Great Southern Style Music!I wished they would make another album! If you enjoy Skynyrd, Bad Company, you will love this CD!Hurry up and make another album!

4 out of 5 stars "Laidlaw deserves the most credit, but what about Sixx".......2001-10-01

This album is an excellent Southern rock album very similar to that of Skynyrd and various other artists of the genre. Of course Laidlaw deserves the most credit for this album...it's their music; there's no argument from me regarding that. However; I happen to be a firm supporter of Motley Crue, who's bassist(Nikki Sixx)discovered Laidlaw, helped promote them, and produced the album, releasing it on his own record label Americoma Records. I mention this in light of most people's opinions that Motley crue is composed of a bunch of idiots with no intelligence. The fact is, Nikki Sixx knows good music, he's a very smart marketer, and should be given some level of credit for this album and his intelligence. Aside from all that, this is a great Southern rock album-the only reason i don't give it five stars is because I believe that a five star album is perfect, and there are a couple songs that aren't the greatest, but buy it anyway if you're a fan of good Southern rock.
