Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Special Review (It really deserves 10 stars).......2002-07-05

The CD includes all the next songs, obviously recorded directly from the Last Live at the Tokyo Dome:

- AMETHYST : This is a charming song, obviously great, the original song wasn't recorded in any of their albums. Therefore its great. How I rate it: 8.5/10.

- RUSTY NAIL : Many of you maybe have heard about this song before. It's great, very melodic. Piano, Drums, Guitars, Bass and excelent Lyrics. Probably their best song of all. How I rate it: 10/10. Simply great. My Favourite.

- WEEK END : My favorite song of their album "BLUE BLOOD". Very cool, hard Rock, some "Guns and Roses" style like. Really Cool Guitars on it. How I rate it : 10/10.

- SCARS : This song rocks. It's their 2nd best song of their last album "DAHLIA", right after Rusty Nail. Cool Vocals on it. Put special atention to all the special music effects on it. Really great. How I rate it : 9/10.

- DAHLIA : Their most melodic song of the album "DAHLIA". Great Lyrics. Cool Guitars. A definetly Must for every ROCK and J-Rock fan. How I rate it: 9.5/10.

- DRUM DREAK : In this Drum Dreak Yoshiki shows all his super abbilities with the drum, just great, even though it is only a drum. How I rate it: 8.5/10. But his abbilities with the drum deserve a "20".

- DRAIN : One of the best songs of the album "DAHLIA". Totally in English. Supreme Vocals on it. How I rate it: 9/10.

- PIANO SOLO : Ecstasy, a supreme piano solo, unique. How I rate it: 10/10.

- CRUCIFY MY LOVE : Sweet and Sad Ballad. From their album "DAHLIA". Simply Great. How I rate it: 9/10.

- Longing-Togireta melody- : "I sing Without you...", this song is unique, a ballad with everything needed to be one of their best songs. From their album "DAHLIA". How I rate it: 10/10.

- Kurenai : Definetly one of their most famous singles. Right from their albums "VANISHING VISION" (ENGLISH VERSION OF THE SONG)and "BLUE BLOOD" (JAPANESE VERSION OF THE SONG). One of my favourites. How I rate it: 9.5/10.

- ORGASM : Nice title, huh, lol. It is a cool song. Check out the drums and guitars in this song, they rock, the volcas are simple, nothing out of this world. How I rate it: 8/10.

- DRUM SOLO : DRUM SOLO; DRUM SOLO. WOW!!!!!!. If you liked the Drum Dreak don't wait to hear this one, it rocks. How I rate it: 9/10.

- FOREVER LOVE : "Mou hitori de, Arukenai..." (I can't walk, on my own, lonely..."). This is the best example of "GREAT BALLAD". Played on Hide's funeral =(, really sad song, but excellent. With beautiful Lyrics, great guitars, piano and everything. How I rate it: 10/10.

- PROLOGUE : World's Anthem. This one is the first song of their album "BLUE BLOOD". It's great and Melodic, something like a J-ROCK's National Anthem, weird isn't it. How I rate it: 8.5/10.

- X : "You are the Best...", The group's Song, it is something like their Anthem, The Drums on this song rock, also the guitars but at the very end of the song. Check this song. First appeared in their album "BLUE BLOOD". How I rate it: 9/10.

- ENDLESS RAIN : Lovely Unique Song. Sweet Ballad, probably one of their most famous ballads. This song deserves to be listened. And in this Last Live has a different Ending. Check it out. How I rate it: 10/10.

- CURTAIN CALL : Something like a little break, for the group of course. Nothing out of the common. How I rate it: 8.5/10.

- SAY ANYTHING : Their best ballad of their album "Jealousy". It rocks. Check it out. Speacially to the piano and vocals. How I rate it: 9.5/10.

- LAST SONG : As it is sayed on its title. It is their last Song, Lovely, Really Sad, But unique. The piano on this is great, but speacially the pop like sounds. How I rate it: 10/10.

- EPILOGUE(TEARS) : The main reason why you must buy this CD. Their best Ballad of all, first appeared in "DAHLIA". It is unique. My 2nd favourite song right after Rusty Nail. It rocks, this version is really something to remember: "Dry your tears with love..." . It rocks. How I Rate it: 100/10. I din't make any mistake it really deserves 100/10.

5 out of 5 stars THE BEST GROUP AND THE BEST CD EVER!!!!!!!.......2002-02-23

To describe X-Japan I would need at least 1000000000000000000 million words, but as a resume, "THEY ARE THE BEST!!!!".

Aren't you tired of awful RAP METAL or simply boring HEAVY METAL. Then try VISUAL ROCK, and the thing gets better and better, with the best VISUAL ROCK GROUP EVER: "X-JAPAN".

The Last Live, the last concert after more than 10 years of making the best rock of both Japan and Asia, even better than others from Europe and US.

Fullfilled with excellent songs, delightful lyrics, unique guitar playings, and the BEST WAY OF PLAYING ROCK EVER.

You will not be disapointed, GUARANTEED TO MAKE YOU GET MAD, SIMPLY THE BEST.

5 out of 5 stars The best rock ever........2002-02-08

I should say they are the best R&R band ever. Maybe some people will like "KISS" more, but indeed, X Japan's music is more touching than others.
Their songs are not just rock, they are the combination of classical and heavy metal. U'll never hear something like these anywhere else.
The lead guitarist of X Japan - hide(Hideto Matsumoto), although he died in 1998, I still think he's the best guitarist in Japan. And, of course, Yoshiki is an incredible musician, he composed most X Japan's songs.
I can't describe their songs in words. All u have to do is buy their CDs.

5 out of 5 stars Farewell X! Thanks for everything!.......2001-12-07

Having attended the Dahlia Tour's last show in Tokyo (a year before The Last Live), needless to say I was ecstatic to see their final concert released on to cd. What can I say, the memories it brought back were too much for words. This cd (actually 3 cds!) rips. If you are a fan of X (X Japan) and want to experience the excitement, beauty and chaos of one of their concerts, this cd set is a must-have item. (...) Hide forever!
