Pop/Rock Masterpiece from a Legendary Boogie Band.......2003-12-30

While I have always admired Status Quo for their consistent ability to deliver hard-driving rock & roll, I enjoyed their early brit-psych period and wondered whether they would ever attempt to update this period with more advanced production and bringing back keyboards in a more important way. Thirsty Work is an un-discovered gem featuring a cross-section of songs (pop-rockers, ballads and of course the signature boogie workouts). This recaptures the sound made famous by bands like The End, Smoke, Badfinger, Ruperts People, The Fox and, of course, early Quo. A dandy CD worth re-issuing with, we hope, bonus tracks from the same session.
