Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Good but for other reasons........2006-10-03

It's definitely not a good album as an intro to FMTM, but it excels in other capacities. It takes a much more techno approach to their older stuff, and so anyone who has the previous album(s) will find this a lot more finished and less rockish. But unlike many remix albums I've heard, it's not just the same songs cut up a bit with a techno beat laid over them, which is monotonous and unless you really like dancing around your room, not listenable.

These songs legitimately merit a new album. They throw in new vocals occasionally, and since many of the harsher rock parts are cut, they have different transitional elements. I find myself having to check the tracklist occasionally to make sure I know what song got remixed. I miss some of the old speech samples, but the beats are good and it makes for a great "walking down the street with headphones" listen.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent remix album.......2006-07-22

Some of the best revolutionary, left-wing dance music around, bar none. Vocal tracks from the world's leading progressive voices for peace and justice mixed with intelligent dance/electronica beats but made with real instruments. It has a Chemical Brothers/Boards of Canada-ish sound and quality, but with a very strong and emotional message to boot. Brilliant.
