Customer Reviews:
lower your expectations.......2006-05-08
this album sounds like Perry Ferrel (janes addiction) is singing over a rough interpretation of tool. Crawl Away is the best on the album, but only because the others are sao bad. Tool CAN NOT be immitated. Please stop buying tributes that do no justice to the band (that means every tribute except the string quartet tributes), unless of course if you expect to be let down and dont really care to experience the intensity that is Tool, then buy this album.
EXPLICIT LYRICS - Parental Advisory should be attached.......2005-07-20
We purchased this in place of a Tool album because it did not have a PA sticker. The lyrics are uncensored. Although it is still good music, you should be warned that there is explicit content.
As an obsessed fan..........2005-01-30
I absolutely love Tool. This CD has some of my favorite songs by Tool, and the acoustic renditions of them are awesome. Some would say that it doesn't do Tool justice, but in comparison to some of the shoddy tributes I've heard, this CD is pretty good. The vocalists, though I hate to say it, since I know they were probably singing their hearts out, are NOT very good, and that's the ONLY reason I gave this C.D. a 4 star rating. Their voices rubbed me the wrong way, and (this is an anal-retentive musician talking out of... Well. :-P) they couldn't always stay on pitch... However, this is a tribute. No one's ever going to be able to do what Maynard can do. This C.D., however, shouldn't be passed up because of my opinion. If you're a fan of Tool, and enjoy acoustics, I would highly reccomend this C.D. The instrumentation alone is worth it, and it's a unique way to hear Tool presented.
Really good tribute album.......2004-09-15
This is probably the most competent tribute album i've seen in a long time. it loses one star because i wish the guy singing was maynardn, and it loses another to the crappy singer that took over for a couple songs near the end. i was really enjoying the first singer, then they bring in the creed sounding guy.
