Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars A Great Piece of Rock History.......2005-10-20

I've liked Jericho since they made me deaf at the Marquee Club in London in 72. This is the album they made before shortening their name from Jericho Jones to just plain Jericho. I've read that this album is a transition from when they were called the Churchills to what they became, Jericho. Enough history lesson!

This album rocks! I've never heard anything quite like them. I hear all kinds of influences in the music but the guitar work really stands out. Complex riffing and lots of great fills by the lead guitarist.

Some have compared them to Deep Purple, but I don't see much of a resemblance except for the complexity of the music. To me, as I said before, they don't really sound like anyone I've ever heard before. Unique, rocks like hell, what more could you ask for?

Highly recommended!

5 out of 5 stars a true treasure!!!.......2002-04-29

If you apreciate fresh, well recorded & well executed historically important 70's rock album- GRAB this one! This band was really special, and still sound interesting. They experimented various types of music, and even performed with a philharmonic orchestra in Israel. All their matterial is of quality, and is highly collectible. ENJOY!!!

4 out of 5 stars High Quality Reissue of a rare gem.......2002-01-04

I'm glad to see this obscure title get reissued economically on an excellent sounding CD. The A&M vinyl version of this album was previously released in England in 1972. Some of the quieter passages remind me of the Moody Blues, with the louder passages having the controlled clarity of Supertramp. Fans of early '70s arena rock should appreciate this one. I gave this 4 stars because some tracks ramble on too long.
