Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Sirens .......2005-10-09

Words cannot describe the emotion and intensity in this album. Between the music and the vocals everthinhg is amazing. The vocals go from soft melodies to emotional outbursts of screaming. Get this album and also their older one which is also good.

3 out of 5 stars Enriquez, one day you will grow up.......2005-04-30

And realize you sold out your friends for your groupies who are now... gone. Hope you're happy.

5 out of 5 stars from the lead singer/guitarist's sister.......2004-06-13

the lead singer/lead guitarist of on the might of princes, jason, is my older brother. however, i don't think this album is awesome just because my brother is in the band. this album makes me extremely proud to know that someone related to me can produce such spectacular music. it is complicated sounds instead of just a bunch of meaningless chords like most bands. every song is different, and every song is equally wonderful. it's the kind of cd you can listen to 5,000 times and not even begin to get sick of it. i would definately recommend this cd to anyone who appreciates good music.

4 out of 5 stars something different.......2004-02-12

This is album is pretty good. Its along the lines of cursive minus the cello, thursday and recover. His vocals go from a scream to soft and back again smoothly. The instrumental tracks on the album are along the lines of mineral or appleseed cast only to be blown away by amazing drum beats. Crazy stuff to listen. The last track is a crazy mixture of instruments.
IN the new AP mag as a band to look for. i agree.

5 out of 5 stars The Swell and the Breaking.......2003-12-15

I know very little about this band and their history. Sirens is a masterpiece, a beautiful and volatile piece of work. It rocks hard, and takes frequent instrumental stops only to swell up again and unleash a wall of guitars and screams upon you. The songs swell and break into each other, often within the same song, creating almost two different songs within one song. These rises and falls are nothing new, but On the Might Of Princes do it so well, that they make it fresh and a joy to listen to.

When I think of this band, I think of a mix of At the Drive In and the Appleseed Cast. Draw what conclusions from that you will, but On the Might of Princes has the ferocity and spastic unpredictable ness of At the Drive In, and the ability of the Appleseed Cast to craft beautiful spacy songs. In the same song they can rock the hell out of you, and then bring it all back to earth with a soft guitar line played over relaxed drums, only to explode again with twitchy drumming and a total wall of guitars. The vocals range from full out screams to soft singing, both of which are utilized well.
