Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Playback problems may be encountered on some equipment.......2006-12-28

"Playback problems may be encountered on some equipment"... that warning from the back of the jewel case just about sums it up. This disc is "Copy Controlled" which means that errors are intentionally encoded onto the disc to make it difficult to copy. However, these errors can cause problems for legitimate users who may not be able to play it in some CD players. This also affects the error correction on the disc which could make it more susceptible to skipping if it gets scratched than a normal CD.

You might notice that no where on the disc's package is the "Compact Disc Digital Audio" logo that is on other CDs. That's because this disc doesn't conform to the standards of a genuine Compact Disc. Discs with the logo follow standards that allow them to be played in all players that also display the logo. In other words, this is not a real CD. It's just a disc that happens to be close enough to a CD to work in a lot of CD players.

The copy protection used on this disc is made by Macrovision and is called Cactus Data Shield 200 (CDS-200).

If you try to play this disc on a computer, you will not be able to use Windows Media Player or whatever player you usually use to listen to CDs. When you insert the disc, a player will be installed that will allow you to play a lower quality, compressed version of the songs on the disc, you will not be getting full, CD quality sound. Also, you will not be able to rip this disc into iTunes to be able to play it on an iPod.

I'm sure anyone buying this disc is a huge Moffatts/Hidell/Same Same fan, so they won't really care about the copy protection. I just wanted to write this review to make you all aware of the problem.

Now that you know more about the problems with copy protection, you can watch out for it on other CDs you buy, and refuse to buy defective products.

5 out of 5 stars JUST AWSOME!!!.......2004-07-02

Hidell is an amazing band, I can't compare them to anyone else, they are in a league of their own! This was DEFINATELY worth the wait to get it, and worth every penny! EVERYONE GO GET IT!!!

5 out of 5 stars I disagree.......2004-02-26

Well I have to disagree with the reviewer before me. Although I do think some songs sound similar to Submodalities I also think its a great album to relaunch their careers. Besides I have heard that their next album will be very different. Their writing skills are not bad at all, in fact they are very perceptive.
This album rocks. It has a variety of songs to suit everyone. Granted some of the lyrics are in your face but at least its honest-that's why I love it.
BUY THIS ALBUM
BTW Clint is a great lead singer.......

4 out of 5 stars :-).......2004-02-02

It's great to see Clint and Bob back! :-) I like the sound, and the direction they're going in. Now only if they'd come to the states! I know the band isn't all about the Moffatt brothers, but I don't really know much about the others. I like this CD, and I think if you liked Submodalities, you'll like this album.
