5 out of 5 stars BUY IT NOW!!!!!.......2002-04-02

When I first heard this song (Bent) on the radio I knew I had to get the single. I'm not the biggest fan of Matchbox Twenty but I can appreciate their music. The single is like any other single you can get at this price: 2 songs. Those 2 songs are:

(1)Bent
(2)Push(acoustic)

The acoustic version of Push is great. Even to this day I play this cd. And if you never heard of the song, its a mixture of soft and hard rock in a ballad style. What got me into this song right away was the guitar at the beginning and at the end.

5 out of 5 stars A pleasant surprise!.......2000-12-30

Well, now I have the "Mad Season" CD, but before I went out and bought that, I got this Bent single. I had heard it on the radio, and it blew me away! Besides being a great piece of music with lots of intersting arrangements, its one of those songs you can listen to over and over again. Although I'm a bit tired of it now, the B-side (acoustic Push) is now one of my favorite songs. Being much more powerful yet mellow than the original push, it is an amazing song, and perhaps one of the best out there.

4 out of 5 stars Brilliant song - unintentional humour!.......2000-11-18

Matchbox Twenty have come up with their best song yet! The intro is so wonderful, it's amazing they managed to come up with a song that's just as good. However, the song is hysterically funny to anyone who was brought up with the British slang definition of "bent". If you know what I'm talking about, just try to listen to it without laughing! Even with the unintentional double entendre, this is a fine piece of music from a band that keeps on getting better and better. Thanks to Mb20 for making something that's ever more rare - populist rock music that's actually GOOD!

1 out of 5 stars Bland as they wanna ba.......2000-11-16

What exactly are Matchbox 20? Are they a rock band? Well none of their recorded material particuarly rocks, perhaps at one point they conceived their songs as rock n'roll, but they've been so probed and prodded in production so that they can be played on commercial radio that they hardly resemble rock at all. Are their songs ballads? Well they're almost too fast and up-tempo to be ballads. No, Matchbox 20 have successfully managed to carve their own niche in the music industry, a new genre called bland. And when I meet people who like their music I think they're bland too. One day the fallen phoenix of Punk will rise from the ashes and the memory of Matchbox 20 will seem as if it was just one more bad acid trip.
