I bought this on a whim and though I was pretty happy with the disc, it's one of those lo-fi sleepers that you could very easily pass up. Fans of anyone from Queens of the Stone Age to Mogwai could find plenty to like about this disc.

this follow up to their Thunder and Lightning cd is way more mellowed out than the usual take no prisoners modey lemon stylee. with the addition of a third member, the band has replaced their balls out screaming with a more subdued and slower, yet trippy and layered sound. the result is a psychedelic journey that still tastes like a modey lemon, but with less of a bite. dont worry, there is still plenty of moog.
