Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Female AOR Classic.......2007-01-12

Laos comes from Germany and her voice is one of a kind. She could take on Heart, Vixen, Saraya, Lita Ford, Witness, Cher (In the late 80's) and Robin Beck and hold her own if not beat all of them. She is really that good. This is a classic CD and should be in your collection if you love female fronted bands like I mentioned above. Every song is a classic and there are no fillers here. Don't miss out on this classic CD because it is out of print and getting very hard to find.

4 out of 5 stars Finally, a woman who sings like she doesn't want to slit her wrists.......2006-03-31

Tired of female artists that whine about everything in the world? Try this awesomly rocking CD by a fairly unknown band. Considered a collectors item for a long time, this re-release will hopefully find it's way into the collection of a lof of music fans who know what good rock music is. Probably the best female fronted rock band I've heard.

5 out of 5 stars This woman can sing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......2006-02-16

If you are like me and you just can't let go of that rock from the 80's - early 90's than you need this album. When I heard the first song I was instantly taken in by her voice, Gundrun Laos means business!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love female fronted rock and this album was a great addition to my collection. All the songs are powerful and energetic. Higher Ground is a really good song. Gundrun Laos went on to front a band called Bar-Fly and recored an album First Impression. These days she changed her name to Aino Laos and has an album out called Harvest Moon. Her powerful,earth-shaking chords have been traded in for sweeter, more innocent sounding ones with a more new age music style.(Surprisingly, it works for her, she can pull it off) Aino Laos also performs in musicals in Germany which look really interesting. She has a website that is worth checking out. Laos's drummer Jorg Michel went on to play for Stratovarious!

5 out of 5 stars Gudrun Laos - She can really kick it!!!.......2005-11-05

the energy never stops. Her powerful vocals make this a must

German melodic rock from the early 90's. Great musicians behind
her. Strongly recommend this one for all you fans of melodic
rock - German bands like Laos and Jaded Heart just flat get the
