Customer Reviews:

3 out of 5 stars Better than most stuff...........2003-02-26

This cool album is better than most stuff that is passing for "garage rock" these days. The tight tunes powered by some cool organ pounding help to elevate the Forty Fives above the new, dorky garage crowd. However, the Forty Fives lack the soul-power that make a band like the Lyres so great. You can't fake soul.

5 out of 5 stars Get Ready for THE NEXT BIG THING, Kids!!!!.......2002-10-26

Atlanta's Forty-Fives are unheard of as-of-now, but just wait, they are going to be HUGE!!
With the current crop of back-to-basics rockers tweaking the ears of critics and casual listeners alike -- such as the Strokes, the White Stripes, the Hives, the Vines, the Mooney Suzuki, etc etc -- the stage is SET for the Forty-Fives to be the next Mod/Punk/Garage/hyper-charged ROCK-N-ROLL band to be blaring out of your top 40 radio speakers!!!
This album is a non-stop, sweat-and-sex drenched raging mayhem that will keep you dancing (even in your seat, if you're driving) -- no, FLAILING -- and you will be singing along with every song on the album after the second or third listen.
