5 out of 5 stars Some Breaking News.......2003-03-01

Align is one of the greatest bands I have ever heard. I support local music scene in Minnesota and I would say these guys are way better any other MN band, as a matter of fact I would say they are better than most MTV rock bands. These guys have everything a good band should have. They have poetic and meaningful lyrics. Their music is uplifting, the beats are great and stick in your head for days. The video for At The Basement Door is tight. My favorite songs off this album are At The Basement Door, Bell Curve, and B.A.M. If they get heard enough Im sure Align could be a big band. Go listen to them and tell everyone you know about them.

5 out of 5 stars Hometown pride!.......2002-08-01

This CD and this band are proof that Minnesota has a healthy and breathing local metal scene. Kudos to Align for gettin it done like so many only wish they could. This band is a welcome change from the manufactured [stuff] that seems to top the charts these days. Align has the talent lyrically and musically and they're not shy about it. I'd like to see this band get big...and I know they will. Keep it up guys!

5 out of 5 stars Some Breaking News.......2001-08-10

Five years ago Align passed through the small town of Pierre, South Dakota and immediately ignited a fan base that still continues to grow. Some friends had booked some no-name band out of Makato, MN to play for a small time local show. We had underestimated this band, assuming that we would get what we had paid for -- which certainly wasn't much. But the moment they started playing, everyone froze. Maybe someone whispered, "WOW. They're really good..."

And they've only gotten better since then. Everything that this band produces appeals to me. These guys work like crazy to create hard edged music that keeps melody in check. It seems that many hardcore bands are so focused on being loud that they forget their talent somewhere along the way. "Some Breaking News" may be the first nationally released album for this band, but these guys are hardly ametures, as one listen to this album will prove. I look forward to future albums from Align. Their sincere and thought provoking lyrics laced with jagged, crunching guitar is a rare find in today's music.
