Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars They don't make albums like this anymore.......2004-04-11

This is not that played out punk/pop crap that every band is coming out with today. This is old school harcore punk, that's why it's so great. The Humble Gods are not afraid of breaking away from the trends and it pays off well for them. My favs are "Another Day", "Who?s the Criminal", "Sickworld", "Born Free", "Fool's Paradise", and "Rescue Me".

5 out of 5 stars Back to Full On Punk.......2004-01-31

Daddy X returns to his punk roots with a reformed Humble Gods. Dormant for years due to tragedy and Disney, they're back with a kick ass punk album. Eight years since their last record "No Heroes" (and the tragic deaths of Bianca Wilson and Jason Thirsk) Daddy X, now known from the Kottonmouth Kings and the head of Suburban Noize records, gathered friends from Pennywise and the Descendents to bring back good old fashioned punk to the Sub Noize family.

Anarchy and love are the main themes of the album, with odes to fallen friends like "Chinstraps" and questions to the government like "Who's the Criminal?".

"Born Free" is an upbeat and fun album, defintiely for fans of bands like Pennywise, TSOL, and the Ramones.
