4 out of 5 stars Great Album, But not Lordi's Best..........2007-04-29

Lordi is one of my favorite bands. Almost anything they do is good. This cd is no exception. However, if you have never heard a Lordi cd I would steer twords 'The Arockolypse'. I do love "old school" (before eurovision)Lordi but the new stuff is better than alot of the songs on this album. If you already own 'Get Heavy' or 'The Monsterican Dream' then do not buy this cd. It is a merger of the two early albums for sale in the UK. If you can afford it, I'd buy the first to because this one is missing some key tracks. Highlights of 'The Monster Show' include "Rock the Hell Outta You", "Blood Red Sandman", "Devil is a Loser", "Shotgun Divorce", "Bring it On" and "Would You Love a Monsterman". These are all really great song, but it lacks " Biomechanic Man", "Dynamite Tonight" and a few others from the first albums at the expense of forgettable songs like "My Heaven is Your Hell" and "Icon of Dominance". In all it's a good cd, but I'd go for 'The Arockalypse'

5 out of 5 stars Monster Good Fun!.......2007-01-13

Lordi, the finnish monster rockers are the new Kiss, but more extreme. Playing melodic hard rock and heavy metal, they receantly took the world over by surprise by winning the 2006 Eurovision Pop Song Contest. This is a combination of their first two CD's: Get Heavy and The Monsterican Dream. The Monster Show starts off with the rightfully named Theatrical Trailer, introducing the band, then paving the way for Bring It On! Blood Red Sandman stomps it's way next, followed by the melodic My Heaven Is Your Hell. The beautiful Would You Love a Monsterman quickly captivates you next with it's awesome guitar riffs and Mr. Lordi's raspy vocals. Following is the classic riproaring Devil is a Loser. The piano ballad Icon Of Dominance is next, silently giving way to the haunting Children of The Night. Shotgun Divorce delivers the kicks, and the wacky Forsaken Fashion Dolls really make you wonder about those fashion freaks. Wake The Snake slithers in next with a bang, chanting the way for Rock The Hell Outta You. The Bonus DVD's are a real treat, with Blood Red Sandman being a must see. All of their music videos are like short horror films. It's been a long time since any band has delivered such wonderful music all in monstermaniac style and fashion! If you love Kiss, horror movies, and classic heavy metal, buy this album. It's a must have!

Great Tracks: Bring It On, Blood Red Sandman, My Heaven is Your Hell, Would You Love a Monsterman, Devil is a Loser, The Children of The Night, Wake The Snake.

5 out of 5 stars Great heavy metal album.......2006-11-10

I got turned onto this group by seeing one of their google music videos. Their music is awesome! Back to the 80's when metal was great! You have to check out one of their videos---that will make them one of your favorites too.

5 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT!!!.......2006-05-31

I just read a previous review saying that this band rip off Gwar and that they sound like lame 80's music...are Gwar not from the 80's?
And no they do not rip off Gwar one bit, they are completely different style in every way.
