well....being that Madball and H20 have been two of my favorite bands for along time, i was instantly pumped when i heard that freddy madball and toby SXE had a side project comming out...now this wanst quite what i expected, more of a pop-punk cd, but amazing at that.

4 out of 5 stars Hazen Street's first debut....solid effort.......2005-06-22

I enjoy listening to debut albums from new band's who have formed, worked their hearts out and are confident enough to release their work to the music mainstream media and to be judged accordingly. Hazen St can be described as a band of young men who have come from tough livelyhoods and made something out of their situations - bettered themselves. For that, they should be congratulated. Now the CD self titled release does have flaws and yet is a strong album for the band. Give this band ago, listen and relisten to the album twice and the songs will grow on you as they did on me. 'Fool The World' is easily the best single of the album and is their signature hit song. The other nice songs full of great hooks in them are 'Sorry' and 'Trouble'.
The reader must remember that this is the band's first release and if they stick together, they will only get better. I hope they won't be one hit wonders.

3 out of 5 stars the music is great.......2005-02-24

i think the music is great, but dosen't include video "fool the world"! why? i want to see the video. it's awesome!

1 out of 5 stars hmmmmmm.......2004-11-01

i just have just 8 words and a letter for this album...one that can not be displayed here.....HOW THE &*$^ DID THEY GET A RECORD CONTRACT!

2 out of 5 stars Mediocre at best.......2004-09-03

Some people's reviews are really concerning and I doubt whether they are true critiques or just play something in the background and have no clue what makes an album quality or not. I bought Hazen because it was on sale and the band LOOKS hardcore. Unfortunately I was mistaken.

The sound is uninspiring and VERY amateurish. Too many call and response hooks, the song writing is so simplistic it borders on annoying in many songs. I guess my main disappointment is that there are many quality bands out with alot of talent and potential who are not getting a shot while sub-par talent with industry connections move up the ladder.
