Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Up-and-coming act worth checking out.......2004-07-16

I would definitely recommend this album to anyone interested in being the first to know about an emerging act. Their sophmore effort, it reflects a more mature and melodic sound than their first album The Beatdown. "So High" and "Leaving Birmingham", originally found on The Beatdown, appear again retooled and improved. "So Long Ago", with its acoustic elements mixed with a great electric solo, is one of my favorites. "Across the Ocean" is another track not to be missed. This CD has stayed in constant rotation in my car for months. Definitely worth a try!

4 out of 5 stars On the cusp of stardom.......2004-04-28

These guys have a ton of talent and promise with a live show that's not to be missed!

Given proper promotion and exposure, they could easily be a big nationwide act.

Two of the best tracks (Odd and Dotted Line) are unfortunately not included in the samples :-(

Unfortunately, the studio work and production seemed rushed (IMO) as I've personally heard live versions of songs on this album that are 10x better sounding.

Overall, a great addition to your music collection. A good mix to break the same ol crap that's always on the radio :)

Also try to find their first album "Beatdown" which is more musically complex and shows off this band's true talent. You may be able to find it at their website www.theuglistick.com
