Album Description

Reptilian's association to Page 99 began with the release of "Document #5", a CD and limited LP that grows more legendary every day since being unleashed in the year 2000. Recorded in two days by Drew Mazurek and featuring cover art by acclaimed artist/photographer Carlos Batts, "Document #5" features Page 99 at their pinnacle. The music draws from grind, hardcore, heavy metal and screamo to form an aural attack unheard of before or since.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Pure Chaotic Hardcore Screamo.......2006-09-26

This album is a mixture of pure emo punk (no, not that "emo" you hear on MTV) and chaotic hardcore. This is REAL screamo. pg. 99 is a band that sadly is no more, but they played a major role in the late 90's hardcore scene, along with the likes of their contemporaries City of Caterpillar, Circle Takes The Square, The Number Twelve Looks Like You, Discordance Axis, and so forth. If you're looking for something quirky and energetic with a hardcore influence, Document #5 is the way to go.

Also note that this was their first full length. They just named their releases with the "Document #", including their EP's and split releases. Recommended for those into power violence, hardcore, REAL screamo, and stuff like that.

5 out of 5 stars RIP, Pg. 99.......2005-01-09

What can I say about this band? They were amazing on record and far more amazing live. As for the moron that said that the lead singer has an amazing voice - there were 2 singers in Pg. 99. You can clearly make out the two voices through this album. And yes, they both have very powerful voices.

5 out of 5 stars Incredible.......2004-11-30

The first full-length pg99 release, it's not quite as developed as later stuff (I think the material on doc. 7 and the majority rule split is on a whole nother level), but it is still amazing. Fast, screamy, chaotic, but yet still very melodic and at times haunting. I can't say enough good things about this band.
