Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars The marketing sucks, too..........2005-12-15

...but you might want to buy Stray Dog anyway. It's a "period piece" from a band that went nowhere through no fault of its own.

Plus, the guitarist is a guy named W.G. "Snuffy" Walden. You know, the guy who wrote the themes to a dozen TV shows, like "thirtysomething" or "West Wing," & orchestrates a whole bunch of other stuff.

Sorry about the lousy mastering -- maybe it'll get better. Still, this CD shows the long-forgotten skills of a serious modern arranger, who has not at all reached his peak.

1 out of 5 stars Great Album...terrible remaster job!!!!!.......2005-11-29

This album is one of my favorite rock albums from the 70's...so I rushed to buy a copy of "While Your Down There" on the Zoom Club label. I couldn't believe how bad a job they did transfering this great album to CD. I can't even bring myself to listen to it...the background noise of scratches and hiss is unbearable...I could do a better job if I still had the vinyl. How any label could put out such a bad reissue quality wise is beyond me. The awesome music get a 5...the reissue CD get's a 1 only because there's no zero.
