P.J. Olsson - Great New Artist.......2000-06-14
A very excellent new cd, blends techo with great vocals. This cd shouldn't be passed up. P.J. has a great voice and doensn't let it be covered up by the beats. Great guitar playing also can be heard through out the cd.
Breakthrough recording!.......1999-05-10
When I first heard P.J..Olsson's CD I was completely blown away. While he has some influences like, Beck, T. Heads and maybe Seal, he is actually a completely and refreshing original singer, writer and producer. His songs are seemingly left-field and experimental, yet enourmously hooky and dare-I-say, commercial. The song "Visine" is a sonic breakthrough and P.J..'s lyrics are like an abstract expressionist's painting. On tour he has played with Beth Orton, Rufus Wainwright and Placebo and he is somewhere between all of that. In a day of mundane and meaningless new musical fodder, Olsson's music will stick with you and perhaps, blow you away! Get in on this now, before he becomes huge!
WOW!.......1999-04-18
This is killer, the songs are all great but some take a little longer to get. The backgrounds he creates with his recording tricks are facinating which ensures many great listens to come. It's a crime he isn't hugely popular, yet...
