This band has a great future.
Good Debut........2004-06-28
Following the footsteps of New Jersey natvies Senses Fail, and Early November, Hidden In Plain View is another top band to get snatched up by Drive Thru Records. This EP proves why such a big label has signed them. Each song is crafted differently, and very good musically and lyrically. I really like Joe, the lead signer's vocals, and he shows off them on every song.
1. 'Shamans Witches Magic' - The first single, and my favorite track on the record. It takes off so heavly and ends beautifully. Amazing lyrics. Definetly a stand out.
2. 'Chaser' - This song, i feel, has this sort of punk feel at the begining with the lead guitar part. A very good song overal.
3. 'Where the Highways End' - The third track is definetly a variation. This was the second track i ever heard from Hidden and at first, i thought it was a totally different band. Its absolutly beautiful. Its the slowest song the record, and a very good one. It shows this band has a lot of variety.
4. 'Belly Full of Kerosene' - This song, very much in the same vein of 'Chaser', expect a bit more heavier.
5. 'Twenty Below' - My second favorite on the record. I love the begining, where its just starts off with an acoustic guitar and vocals. Then about 30 seconds in, the whole band comes in and it goes heavier. Amazing track, and a great ender.
