Customer Reviews:
Dude! It rocks yo!!!.......2005-06-21
I had never heard of them until they showed up in the store I worked at. They were playing 2 shows in town and came in to buy some stuff. They gave me one of their demo discs. I immediately played it and fell in love with them. Their music is fun, and they are really down to earth guys. I recommend this cd if you want some lighthearted and fun music.
A True Band.......2002-05-06
I have loved this band ever since, if you can believe this, they came to my High School twice(Grace M Davis, modesto) and played a concert and gave audographs. Not only are they the greatest band today, but their CD rocks too! I am recomending this CD for anyone who loves a real band who is not afraid to come to a high school of rude high schoolers and play FOR REAL!
Flying Blind is great!.......2001-12-06
I really like all of Flying Blind's songs. They have a sound that can span several generations. It's something that both parents and their kids can enjoy listening to together. The band is also very entertaining to see live. They never disappoint and you always leave wanting more. This CD is always in my player. I listen to it daily and never get tired of hearing it. I just press the play button and say "Sing to me Matt". It makes my daily commute go by so much faster.
Fun, Great, Groovy...if you like that sort of thing!.......2001-10-30
Certainly, a review from a music fan who can appreciate the good in such a vast array of styles could be worth something to somebody...Coming from that perspective, I give this CD a Five out of Five. This energetic band rocks one minute and the next is singing soft melodies that all add up for a really enjoyable album, start to finish. Now if you DONT like fun, fast paced catchy tunes, and beautiful melodies that get stuck in your head (but you dont even mind because they are so good)then this is not the album for you! But if you DO, Flying Blind is the future in the present and this CD is great!
Rather bland and flavor-of-the-week.......2001-10-02
Well, picked this one up on a friend's recommendation & was disappointed. There just isn't anything very striking on this disc. It's not really awful, just one of those kind of releases that goes by without really grabbing your attention or providing any staying power.
There are moments where the band seems to hit a good hook & pull the song together fairly well. "Pony" & "The Pain Of It" are really the only standouts that come to mind. The weak points here are the excruciatingly bad attempt at funk, "Work So Hard", the soulless Hootie-esque "Western September Skies", the unimaginative & predictable 50's romp "Smokescreen" & the plagiaristic "Paralyzed" which bears an uncanny resemblance to one of Dave Matthews biggest singles this year.
