Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars Second-rate Britney clone ...............................2006-12-14

It's not really her fault. She can sing, but she's been over-produced to hide the truth that her voice, while great for someone her age, needs more time to develop. I hope they didn't drown her career by throwing her in the deep end too early.

3 out of 5 stars Well...I'll be danged........2006-05-23

I remember being a little 13 year old worshipping TRL (see my other reviews...you can see where my heart lies) and thinking 'The Kiss off (goodbye)' was da bomb. Then...apparently until last week I forgot it existed at all. I found Brooke's CD in a Used Bin and was like 'Oooo' so I had to buy it.

Imagine the ego deflation I had when I learned this girl was my age when she had her fame. Not fair.

Anyways on to the CD. Most importantly I forgot how well this girl could sing. She had a voice...cant deny that. Most of her songs are the typical 00 catchy pop and really there's little stopping them from being hits...except the trouble with the lyrics.

For one a lot of them just come off as stupid (Rollercoaster is one shining example but not the only one) or just plain odd (Thought you might wanna know). If she co wrote them it shows: they sound like a 14 year old with little writing expierence tried to write them. Although...she gets points for usuing the word 'giggilo' in a chorus (guess which song!) Never heard that before...

When the lyrics arent coming off as lamer then lame they sound completly unbelievable for a 14 year old to be singing (such as 'bein in the club'...etc.) Before I knew her age I thought something was wrong with how these lyrics were sung...her inexpierence definitly shows.

The best songs are by far 'The Kiss off' (of course), 'The one that got away', 'I miss you' (for her voice), and 'Say Goodbye' (for her voice). If only the lyrics had changed she could have had a few more hits.

Overall not a bad CD. Its not the best 00 pop...but it isnt even close to the worst (have you people ever heard of a band called Innoscense?)

1 out of 5 stars hilarious!!!!!!!.......2006-01-25

brooke allison's album is the funniest i've heard in awhile. i was actually shopping at kmart when the kiss off song came on. imagine my shock when i searched on the internet and found out it's a real song! this is a keeper! great april fool's day gift! this cd is bastard child resulting from what lame over-the-hill executives and 14 yr olds think is cool.waste of talent, a&r, and $$$.

5 out of 5 stars Brooke Allison.......2005-10-15

I remember this album when I was 14. I love this album. It is very poppy. This album included songs that fit her versatile vocal style. There is some pop,R&B and ballads. This album should have been promoted more. Remember, this was 2001.

2 out of 5 stars What a Waste of Talent.......2005-08-21

Brooke Allison can sing, no doubt about that. But the talking and the lyrics of her songs generate and emphasize the image of a vapid, petty, produced, fake teenybopper, which is really a waste, 'cuz the girl can sing. The only song I liked was the riduculusly titled 'Toodle-oo,' which was a cover of Kwon BoA's 'Don't Start.'
