3 out of 5 stars Acoustic Guitars.......2005-06-09

I like the acoustic guitar strumming away on "Give A Little Bit" and "Even In The Quietest Moments". I feel like I'm in the Rockies while listening to this. Any John Denver fans out there? The other songs are a good listen if you like the 70s soft rock Supertramp is known for.

5 out of 5 stars One of their best!.......2004-06-14

Supertramp is a fascinating group. It shows on all of their albums.Including this one of course.Inspite of Give A Little Bit being the only song I've heard on the radio, the rest of the album is worth listening to as well.My favourite tracks are Give A Little Bit,Lover Boy,Even In The Quietest Moments,From Now On and Fool's Overture. When I first heard the title track(Even In The Quietest Moments),I thought it was Rick Davies singing, until his voice got higher enough that I realised it was Roger Hodgeson.Fool's Overture is probably my most favourite track.I love how this track seems to be a variety of different songs and sound effects combined, including music that is now known as the instramental theme of the TV show W5.

5 out of 5 stars What's this world coming to??!!.......2004-05-11

I see there's only 1 review of this album. I'm 25 years old and grew up with my 3 older brothers listening to Supertramp. Excellent band and are for the ages. This album brings back so many memories and was way ahead of it's time. There's not 1 bad track on this masterpiece. Roger Hodgson's voice gives me the chills and is absolutey beautiful. Rick Davies (I think that's his name) really shines on this album as well. The piano compositions are stunning. I can't say a bad thing about this album. You have to get it.

5 out of 5 stars I know every song by heart............2004-01-24

I bought "Even in the Quietest Moments" before I had ever heard anything else by Supertramp. Now, I have 8 albums...yes vinyl albums. This album means SO much to me...."Downstream" is VERY special to me and a life-long friend....she thinks it's our life story, even tho we aren't married to each other. And "From Now on"is so sad.....
This is probably my all time favorite album......

5 out of 5 stars They Deserve Their Place in Music's Hall of Fame.......2001-12-01

In Supertramp's heyday back in the 1970's and early 1980's, there was nobody else quite like them. Their music was, and still is, unique. On Even in the Quietest Moments, this band has done what they always did best: they play intelligent music with complex musical compositions, variable textures, and thoughtful lyrics. This album is a masterpiece.

"Fool's Overture" is an unforgettable epic song, taking eleven minutes to wind through a masterfully crafted musical landscape until reaching an intense crescendo led by Roger Hodgson's soaring vocals. The title track is of similar magnanimity; it's just as enthralling, but it's only six minutes long. "Give A Little Bit" proved to be a hit single and is Supertramp's most widely known song on the album. "Lover Boy" is a lighthearted affair, and "Downstream" is a quaint voyage on the water with nothing more than Rick Davies and his piano. "Babaji" is another intense and entertaining ride, and "From Now On" has an almost jazz-like sound to it highlighted by John Anthony Helliwell's saxophone.
