Customer Reviews:
Who cares if you've never heard of them? Try it!.......2003-08-29
A friend of mine gave me this CD about 13 years ago when I was 20 and single. I'm now 34 and married with 4 kids age 8, 6, 4 and 1. I loved this CD then and I listen to it with my kids now! They're one of those bands that were on the outer fringe of alternative music, back before "alternative" became a synonym for "pop with loud guitars and no keyboards". At that time, "alternative" and "independent label" were better synonyms. Their sound is what you'd get if the Fabulous Thunderbirds, the Everly Brothers, John Mellencamp and Dwight Yoakum all got in a car wreck in Northern Kentucky. I agree with the earlier reviewer about "Keep on Walkin'". It's one of my favorite songs in the world. If you like even 10 seconds of one of these songs, you'll enjoy the whole album. The best part about it is that they maintain their style without making every song sound the same. This is rock and roll at its purest and finest.

(By the way, I'm your basic liberal's nightmare -- a conservative, Republican, Southern, Christian Homeschooler -- and there's nothing lyrically or otherwise that I wouldn't let my kids listen to.) Changed me for the better.......2003-02-22
12 years after the release of this album I still find time to put it on and sing along. When I first hear the Spanic Boys I was into punk/hard rock but the sound these guys created made me stand up and cheer. I could not believe the roots of rock and roll were still alive except on old victrollas, but baby these guys made me belive that Bluegrass/Blues and Rockibilly was alive and kicking .... "Keep on Walking" has to be my all time favorite but there is not one song that could disapoint me. Give this a listen and the next thing you will see is people staring at you because you will be singing "Undercover" at the top of your lungs in the car.
