Album Description
On Time Doesn't Notice, the Tallahassee-based No Address brings an inspired spin to modern rock. Ben Lauren, a published poet and the band's chief songwriter, offers up profoundly honest and ingenious lyrics, melded with music that is both aggressive and soulful. No Address evokes memories of classic American rock, while crafting songs that are sonically imaginative and lyrically moving.
Customer Reviews:
great debut album for this southern rock band........2006-10-22
The above album is the censored version. It is worth picking up because this band has to be heard. Drawing from a sound that will sound at times like Seven Mary Three to Nirvana, the band No Address was hurrled into the spotlight on tour last summer with bands like staind, three doors down, and breaking benjamin. They do sound a bit unoriginal at times to some folks, but that does not discredit a quality sound and very catch tunes that have a good rock force that have not been heard in years. Highlights of this album are the songs Perfect, Too Proud, Walk Away, and When I'm Gone (Sadie). If you want to tune in and crank it up with a southern sizzle pick up this Tallahasse Quintet's debut.
Encompasses a lot of rock influences.......2005-05-18
The Good
"Perfect" has a subtle introduction that's followed by Ben Lauren's angered and passionate vocals about how someone can put themselves on such a high pedestal. The unforgettable ladie-dadie hook of "When I'm Gone" (Sadie) is sure to get stuck in your subconscious. Poor heart-broken Ben has no luck with his childhood crush as he takes a bottle to the head for his troubles.
"It's Alright" has a Tom Petty feel to it with its understated country-ish guitar licks and catchy chorus. "How Could I" is lead buy a repetitive fuzzy riff and relatable lyrical content. The guitar solo may be brief, but it is worth ever note. "Mother Sunday" is an acoustic ballad of sorts that has plenty of soul in its execution. A bluesy guitar riff kicks off "Time". As the guitar fades away, Ben takes over with more of his enduring and encompassing vocals.
The Bad
Nothing notable
