I LOVE THESE GUYS!.......2006-06-18
i love this CD, and I love these guys. I have met them many many times and every time they manage to astound me with there amazing sound and wonderful personalities. They are soooo much fun to hang out with and talk to!!! Anyone who has written a review saying that they dont like this music and therefore no one else should is weird...I understand if you dont like the music but you can not say that they dont have creativity and they dont rock...because when you've met them as many times as I have...they become the best friends who could ever have!!
:gag:.......2005-10-02
zero stars. who actually listens to this crap? frickin' A make good charlotte look like the modern saviors of rock music. no substance, no meaning, no nothing. this is "music" at it's absolute worst. I'd almost recommend a britney spears record before this one, only because BS is more memorable. please do yourself a favor and skip over this terrible excuse for a musical act.
Frickin' A? More like Frickin' Awful!.......2005-07-26
I would have given this album zero stars if the Amazon rating system would have allowed it. This band is as terrible as their name. I cannot stress this enough. Bands this bad get signed after the media has exploited and over-exposed the genre-of-the-week until there's no juice left. Record labels never quit when they are ahead and so Frickin' A gets signed after being scraped from the bottom of the barrel.
Seriously, even if this style of music appeals to you this band probably won't. Every band in this genre is better than Frickin' A, even the sucky ones. There is nothing here to sink your teeth into and it sounds as though the album was produced extra-wimpy because someone thought Blink 182 was way too heavy. From the cover picture it almost looks like one of those groups a sleazy record label creates by picking members based on how cute pre-teen girls will find them. I say pre-teen because even 13 year old girls deserve more credit for taste in music. Any male this group appeals to must me a delicate little flower indeed.
They have the worst name EVER! Could it be any more cutesy? With a name this bad it's no surprise they can't write a decent song, songs have more than two words and they couldn't even get that right when naming the band.
Poor Rick Springfield. The butchering of Jesse's Girl was uncalled for and makes the original shine like a diamond and the original wasn't all that great in the first place.
Great CD.......2005-04-02
This is one of the greatest CD's that I have ever purchased. I can't say there is a song on the album that I skip by when I'm listening to it. I think what makes this album so likeable is that the songs deal with stuff that everyone has had experience with at some point. Break ups, fantasys, trends, etc. Their new single Jessie's Girl is an EXCELLENT cover of Rick Springfields song and is doing extremely well in the ranks. I think this is only the beginning of Frickin' A's existance and much bigger and better things are going to come from them in the future. And if you think their CD is good, wait til you hear their live performances. You can't truley appreciate the band until you see them live in concert, the guys are all friendly and fan-oriented. I can't wait to see them succeed!
