Customer Reviews:
Same Old Feeling.......2005-10-24
In the first time I listened to this band in mid 70s, hard for me can enjoy this kind of music played by Jon and his Yes. Until by accident I listen to The Ancient brought by friend and really enjoy listening them over and over , that may be cos'd by something that I had in mind and already found the essence and supportedly by my classical feeling.
Hard to describe how I really enjoy "I'm alive"
This disc is very good especially if you like Yes............2005-09-08
I don't think the other review accurately describes the music found within this wonderful progressive peace-rock release by ABWH, otherwise known as Yes. This album was released almost 20 years ago within the context of a band that is very dynamic and percussive as well as brilliant musically. Jon Anderson's voice sounds better than ever on this disc, especially on "Long Lost Brother of Mine". Actually, Rick Wakeman plays some of the best mellow piano he's ever done on "The Meeting" which is a somewhat dreamlike tune. Yes it's as good as Yes. Yes, it IS yes!
Stay away. It is horrible........2003-06-28
I am the biggest fan. But this thing is unlistenable.
Wakeman is so cliche and cheesy and he is so loud and it ruins everything. Vangelis and Jarre have been doing better synthesizers almost ten years before this nightmare.
