Customer Reviews:
9 Songs of pure Garage Rock.......2004-07-12
On one of their last albums the Oblivians teamed up with a certain Mr. Quintron. His organ adds a new dimension to the great cult band of the mid 1990's.
It doesn't have the speed and vibrancy of 'Popular Favorites' but for fans of garage gospel rock worth the low price
The Best Blues-Rock Record.......2003-10-19
This is Oblivians' very best record. And the best blues-rock record that I know of.
Halo-Totin' Garage Punk.......2000-02-09
You don't have to even be a Christian to respect this album (I'm not). It's incredible that the Oblivians can fuse gospel and punk into something that rocks like hell and still doesn't sound like a parody of the either genre. It really sounds like they're possessed with something- be it god or the devil. This is the album that should've put a sock in Mxpx's mouth.
incredible whiskey soaked blues that rock the soul.......1999-07-20
This is the capper to one of the best bands to see live in the world. This album is alittle cleaner than thier previous releases but it is still full of the love for the mud-soaked delta blues, that influenced the trio and their music, so sit back with a bottle of Maker's Mark and a pack of smokes in a rocking chair on the porch and let The Oblivians rock your soul childrens
