Album Description

The reknowned Long Island Rockabilly rebel guitarist, Ralph Rebel, lays down some of the rawest scorchin' Rockabilly and Rock n' Roll recorded in recent history. Backed by local Rockabilly veterans Tony Palumbo on Upright Bass, Wild Bill Piscitello on Drums and Crispy Chicken on Sax this platter is destined to become a cult classic. This ain't exaggeration - just click on some samples and find out for yourself!

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Rockin' With Ralph.......2005-08-22

My girlfriend will actually listen to rockabilly now. She is expanding her choices of music after cruising with this disc playing.

3 out of 5 stars Reality Check!!.......2004-06-10

Not a bad neo-rockabilly cd but far from the legendary "destined-to-be-a-cult-album" blurb some would have you believe. Ralph Rebel is a more than competent rockabilly guitarist and a good singer, but his stuff still stands in the shadows of The Belmont Playboys and The Hillbilly Hellcats. This cd is a lot better than his "Rockin' and Surfin'" one and also his "Big Town Boogie". His version of "16 Chicks" here is sounding better now than on the first playing but The Shakin' Pyramids do the best cover of this tune on their "Skin 'Em Up" album. Rebel's original songs are pretty good and this is the best of his (so far) three discs, although I don't think I'll be buying any more.
