Album Description

The reknowned Long Island guitarist, Ralph Rebel, lays down some of the hottest Surf and vintage guitar rock recorded this decade. Original 1960s instruments like the 1962 Guild Starfire 3 guitar, 1962 Fender Jazzmaster, 1967 Fender Coronado Bass and GMS drums make this sound like it was recorded in another era. If you love Surf music you have to own this disc. Don't believe us? Check out the samples and you'll become a believer!

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars A must have CD!!.......2005-08-22

WOW!! This is a must have classic!! I highly recommend it to any/everyone!! It's easily one of my new favorite CD's of all time!

2 out of 5 stars Why??.......2004-06-08

The question is WHY? Why did Ralph Rebel record this? Why did I buy this? Was it morbid curiosity, temporary insanity, or my love for surf music. Anyway you look at it, this cd falls short. Ralph Rebel is a competent guitartist but here he is messing with all that is sacred, good and holy and the results are lack-lustre at best. The only 2 tracks worth the trouble here are the two tunes writen by Ralph Rebel himself. He doesn't do justice to the original versions of the other stuff here. And he doesn't put a harder edge on them either. E.g. like Gary Hoey and Dick Dale did to "Wipeout" in the "Endless Summer II" movie. Believe me, I've been into surf music since the early days and I've heard the BEST! This ain't it! It sounds downright...well, amaturish, empty and all wrong. No b*lls at all. (...)
